Yes: Play it, recommend it, don't compare it and shut it.
No: Don't play it, avoid discussions, shut it.

It's not as if someone is going to change from games simply because of an opinion of a person on the internet, unless specifically asked for.

Why would you not waste money on a singleplayer only game? Some of them are just as fine as online, open world of course.
