Kicking stuff..

Hello there,

lately I've seen a lot rulebreakers and other silly stuff happening in-game, when there's no admins online. It's a real problem, that could be fixed very easily.

I think people should listen to us clan members a bit more, beacuse no one really cares about us warning about the rules. Of course, we have votekick and -ban but many times people don't vote/they vote no for no real reason.

So my suggestion here is to allow kick for clan members, beacuse it couldn't be abused really since we should be pretty trusted and you can't really harm the server with the command anyways. I know we're not admins but I think we should have some powers, since we are actually part of the Sync clan..

Ok, let me get this straight here.

Yes, we accepted you and trust you, as a member. We trust admins more than a regular member.

In the first place the voteban / votekick has no effect that helps at all, they get banned for 30 minutes and then they come back.. What you SHOULD be doing is taking screenshots and recording demos to be reviewed by admins later. So we can actually permban his guid/ip which actually has an effect that works in our profit, because he won't be able to join anymore.

I see a lot of harm being done if all members had kick, that means ~20 people would be able to kick others, and I'm not completely comfy with that.

Members aren't supposed to be moderators, in my opinion, as I said taking screenshots and recording demos is the best because we can permanently ban him..

Nor do I see the use of voteban or votekick for members, after he is kicked he is able to come back again anyway, but more cautious this time. If an admin spotted him he'd be in narnia, that's why he is an ADMINistrator.

My suggestion is that we promote some members to admin in different timezones so that when we sleep they are awake, and remove voteban, votekick from members, because it's completely useless.

This answer may not be completely relevant to your post, but it answers most of the question revolving around this discussion.
